Sherburn to Filey
23 km · Coastal views, Muston, and the finish at Filey Brigg.
The final stages lead toward the North Yorkshire coastline. After a long stretch of level walking and a few final steep climbs - such as the slippy ascent out of Wintringham - the sea finally comes into view.
The trail passes through the quiet village of Muston, where walkers often take a final break on the village benches before the last three-mile push.
The route enters the seaside resort of Filey, passing its busy Main Street and promenade before a zigzag path leads up to the grassy cliff tops.
The journey ends at Filey Brigg, a dramatic headland where a stone sculpture marks the finish of the Yorkshire Wolds Way and the beginning of the Cleveland Way.
